Trust was set up formally in 1999 by a small group of women, challenged by the lack of help for women involved in street prostitution in South London. A high percentage of these women are homeless and poly-drug users, suffering social exclusion, stigma and facing barriers to services.
Trust was formed to provide specific support for these women, including weekly street outreach sessions, drop-in sessions, advice on benefits and alternative employment, counselling, a court-diversion scheme, help in accessing safe emergency accommodation and drug and alcohol key working.
Through the relationships that we have built, we seek to encourage women to make informed decisions about issues that are important to them, offering hope, new opportunities and long-term support through any process of change.
Trust was awarded the Faithworks CRE Awards for Community Resource 2004
