Keresley Village Link Worker Project

Keresley, Coventry

The project is set in Keresley Village, a small community struggling to come to terms with the loss of identity resulting from the closure of the coal mining pit in 1996.

A decline in the quality of interpersonal relationships and lack of social provision for the young and the elderly has severely eroded the sense of community well being.

The Link Worker project, based at Keresley Village Community Church, is committed to helping the community claw back its self esteem by initiating activities that support young families, the elderly and the vulnerable with a particular emphasis on building positive relationships.
