Their response was to form a worker co-operative – a business owned and controlled by its workers. Daily Bread Co-operative began trading in Northampton in 1980 and Daily Bread Cambridge was founded in 1990.

Daily Bread is a retailer of wholefood, organic and fairly traded goods. We aim to demonstrate that it is possible to run a commercially viable business that has clear spiritual and social objectives.
