How to write a grant application and business plan

No matter how small a project or how large it becomes, funding is always an issue. When applying for funding for your community project you will often be asked to complete a grant application or submit a business plan.

Where should you go for funding? What are funding organisations looking for? How should you present your Christian ethos? How do you develop a business plan that will increase your chances of running a successful project?

Whether you are a small church-based project or an established charity, this one-day practical workshop will help you:

  • Identify sources of funding for your community project
  • Write a successful grant application
  • Work out future expenditure and the income needed to run your project
  • Present your business plan to your church, potential funders and other audiences
