The 18 shortlisted projects were all examples of authentic Christian faith in action and many more than the three recipient projects deserve public recognition. These vital initiatives are serving local needs unconditionally with immense professionalism and compassion.

The three recipients of the Faithworks Awards have each successfully responded to a critical local need with passion, creativity and an outstanding commitment to best practice. As Faithworks Awards recipients they each receive £5,000 towards the development of their work.

The Faithworks Awards seek to promote awareness of the excellent community work being done by projects motivated by Christian faith in the UK, and inspire further Christian activism throughout the country. 

Panels made up of representatives from the Faithworks Movement and the Sponsors selected the recipient projects.  The recipients were announced at an Awards Ceremony in the House of Commons on the 7th November 2006.
