FAITH TO ENGAGE PROJECT MANAGER

The Faith to Engage project has been funded for 5 years by the National Lottery through Big Lottery Fund, to strengthen comprehensive regional networks of faith sector agencies in each of the nine government regions in England.  

Fixed term contract till 2013
Full Time (40 hours inclusive of breaks),  London-based
(SALARY GRADE D £ 28,851 - £30,162 inclusive of £2808 London Allowance)

To lead and manage the project. To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have proven knowledge and experience of the England regional faith sector
  • Possess highly-developed inter-personal, people and project-management skills
  • Demonstrate ability to monitor and  deliver outcomes and work alongside key stakeholders
  • Be a self-motivated creative thinker, team player, and eager to use your strong and proven Project Management skills

Overall Job Description:  The Operations Manager has responsibility for the delivery of the east to west mission through the existing projects and new projects as they develop. The post holder will provide professional oversight of the work and direct line management which will also include the pastoral and developmental requirements of the youth work team. As part of the Governance Team the operations manager will also contribute towards the strategic direction an development of the mission and ethos of the Trust. The Operations Manager has responsibility for the safeguarding of projects through the updating of operational procedures and the managing of the £200k projects budgets.

Skills & Attributes: The successful applicant will have a proven track record of outstanding interpersonal and project management skills coupled with a passion to release and support a team into ministry with vulnerable and ‘at risk’ young people.

Existing Projects: The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the contracts of 5 School Relational Support Projects, The Runnymede Inclusion Centre, The Runnymede Counselling Service, Supported Lodgings and 2 Police Community Youth Pastor posts.

International Placement building partnerships in Uganda

Title: Partnership Development Coordinator
Organisation: Oasis Uganda
Location: Uganda

This individual would lead the work of Oasis Uganda in the areas of developing and maintaining partnerships in the areas of replication, advocacy and training.

As per Oasis Uganda’s mission statement, “we desire to see that our impact is multiplied through innovative, sustainable, best-practice: i.  models; ii.  resources
iii.  training; in order to equip others in their work with vulnerable people and communities”. The Partnership Development Coordinator’s (PDC) role is to support and develop all work related to this, in the following Project areas:

1. International Placements (GATs and Professional Placements)
2. Consultancy (Replication of projects or activities through disseminating Oasis Uganda Resources and Training)
3. Youth and School Work (Currently Oasis Esteem - HIV Education)
4. Advocacy (Stop the Traffik)
5. Church Mobilisation (Faithworks)

The PDC will be responsible for assisting staff in delivering high quality training, sharing and developing resources and building meaningful partnerships with churches, CBOs, NGOs and other partners so their capacity is built and the impact Oasis Uganda has is widened. The range of training to be done could include project management, staff management, fundraising, church involvement, child protection, education etc. depending on the partner organisation. The PDC would help to develop potential partnerships, establish where capacity is need, support other Oasis Uganda staff in delivering training, and take the lead in training to these partners where their skills apply. An emphasis on current Faithworks materials and methods could be used where applicable.
