Awards 2004

In October 2004, church leaders, MPs and community development experts gathered at Portcullis House in Westminster to celebrate the achievements of the 2004 Faithworks Awards recipient projects.

Following an in-depth of assessment of each short-listed project, the following three projects were chosen to receive the 2004 Faithworks Awards:

TRUST, community project providing support to women involved in prostitution on the streets of south London, was chosen to receive the 2004 CRE Faithworks Community Resource Award.

Turning Point Craft Initiative, a unique recovery programme for alcohol and drug addicts on the Shetland Isles, was chosen to receive the 2004 Spring Harvest Faithworks Community Innovation Award.

Open Doors International Language School, an independent church-run school  providing English language tuition to refugees and asylum seekers in Plymouth, was chosen to receive the 2004 TBN Faithworks Social Entrepreneurship Award.
