Award 2003

The Spring Harvest Faithworks Award 2003 was launched to reward the excellent work of one of the UK's best church-based community projects. Faithworks received over 200 applications from projects eager to receive the prize of a £10,000 development grant from Spring Harvest and ongoing strategic support from Faithworks.

The winning project
A panel of judges consisting of representatives of Faithworks, Spring Harvest and local government chose Richmond’s Hope as the winning project.

Richmond’s Hope was announced as the winning project on Saturday 13th October 2003 as part of the Faithworks Conference taking place in Eastbourne. The award was presented to the project by Peter Broadbent, Bishop of Willesden, during a ceremony held in Westminster Palace.

"Receiving the Spring Harvest Faithworks Award 2003 has brought the project to the attention of a lot of people. People from all over the U.K. have contacted the project asking for advice on local resources for bereavement as well as the general profile of the project having been raised."
Allison Littlejohn, Richmond's Hope Project Manager
