He currently chairs a number of Christian networks, including Churches for All, the Micah Challenge UK, Hope for London, the International Substance And Addiction Coalition (ISAAC) and the Reaching Older People Network.
As Faithworks Movement Director, Malcolm will be responsible for expanding Faithworks presence at a local level through local networks and affiliated churches and community projects. He will also be responsible for forging strategic partnerships with other agencies involved in social action.
“The Faithworks Movement is rapidly expanding,” said Steve Chalke, Founder of Oasis Trust and Faithworks. “This is a strategic appointment that will enable us to become more effective in inspiring and resourcing local churches to engage in their communities. We are delighted that Malcolm is joining us and we recognise the skills, expertise and experience which he brings to this important role.”
Rev Malcolm Duncan said, “I passionately believe in the need for local churches to be at the heart of their communities and for churches to have the community on their heart. I long to see the Church demonstrating Christ’s unconditional love and compassion for all. I am excited about the future of Faithworks and look forward to developing the movement and helping churches engage in their communities more effectively.”
