Spurgeons Network

The Churches Child Protection Advisory Service (CCPAS) is an independent Christian child care charity working with places of worship, organisations and individuals on safeguarding issues. We are an umbrella body with the CRB processing disclosure and ISA checks. We provide a 24 hour telephone helpline, support with safeguarding policies and procedures, training and resources including DVD safeguarding material. We have developed ‘Safe and Secure’ ten safeguarding standards for faith communities.

Livability

 Trussell Trust
The Trussell Trust's foodbank project, pioneered in Salisbury, is working to feed people in crisis across the UK. The network mobilises churches to set up their own foodbanks, empowering them to reach out to their local communities. In 5 years we've launched over 50 foodbanks nationwide. In 2008/9 the foodbank network fed 26,000 people across the UK. But many more people are going hungry, which is why we say that every town needs a foodbank.
