Open Doors International Language School

Plymouth

Open Doors International Language School is a Christian charity that exists to serve those in the local community who are isolated by language and culture.

It was set up in October 2001 after members of the local Christian community recognised there were individuals not attending mainstream organisations for English due to social and cultural reasons.

Our student intake has grown from 56 learners in July 2002 to approximately 180 this September.

We aim to empower and enable learners and their families to take an active part in the community, by teaching them English, computers and life skills. Open Doors provides a safe, friendly and supportive environment enabling learners to contribute to the local community and achieve their potential.

Open Doors International Language School was awarded the Faithworks TBN Awards for Social Entrepreneurship 2004
