"Record numbers of Foodbanks opening across the UK"

People are feeling the pinch nationwide but new foodbanks working to feed the growing number of people in crisis are springing up faster than ever. Six foodbanks are due to open across the UK in the next six weeks bringing the total number of Foodbanks nationwide to 32.

Homelessness charity, Aquila Way, has collected major honours in a national social justice award scheme. Based in Gateshead, Aquila was awarded for their “poverty fighting” from the Centre for Social Justice, a think tank originally established by Ian Duncan Smith.
