I co-ordinate the Glasgow helpline Destiny Angels, which can be called by anyone who has a practical or spiritual need. I do this because I want people who feel hopeless to find hope.

Project Director of Lifespace

"Jesus said we are co-workers with Him. So each day is a blank page waiting to have something new of the Kingdom-story written on it, working alongside Jesus. For me, being a co-worker of Christ has meant creating a mentoring project for vulnerable young people which has worked with over 350 teenagers in 4 years; being a voluntary educator in schools over the past decade teaching on sexual health and relationships, and setting up a campaign for my town to become an official 'Fairtrade Town' which has now been achieved. Jesus makes things possible that seemed well out of reach."

“My faith is a great motivator for me – it drives me. It has made such a massive difference in my life, has given me a clear sense of structure, of purpose, of a metanarrative in which to fit my whole life. Everything I do is encompassed in the fact that I can know a living God. It brings a constant state of hopefulness.”

"In my shop I try and lead my team in the way Jesus would be proud of, in order to get across (without using words) what or who my inspiration and life-force is. I always try and be people focused whether that means customers or staff because my faith is in Jesus who loves everyone the same."
Sandy Medway
Social Action Representative for Churches Together

"In 1996 I sought God in prayer to ask what I should do with the rest of my life. "Go tell people they matter" was the response. I accepted the challenge! Life has been amazing ever since. I am founder of the employment charity People Matter established in 1997 and I am currently working as a PA to the Bishop of Lewes."

Trainee Vicar

Mainly I try and chat to random people in the street, sometimes make friends with people in need and help them as friends. It doesn't make a huge impact but involves no organisation, I think anyone can do it really.

Community Development Manager

From the age of 18 I've been fully engaged in putting my faith into action. I know faith works because I see it work for me in my life everyday, and I see the effect it has on others around me. Our nation needs people of faith and hope to step out and put their faith into action. We can prove it works, we have answers and we know the God who loves them too.
