Local Networks

Faithworks knows that churches can achieve far more in their local community by working together than they can by working alone. There are an increasing number of churches, motivated to serve their local community, that are joining together to form Faithworks Local Networks.

What is a Faithworks Local Network?
A Faithworks Local Network provides a way for individual Christians and churches to come together to explore ways of developing social action projects in their locality. It could also be a means of connecting existing social action projects being delivered across a town or a wider area, or it could take the form of charity or trust that unites several churches for the purposes of service delivery.

Another important feature of any Faithworks Local Network is its commitment to working towards the standards of best practice set out in the Faithworks Charter.

What are the benefits of forming a Faithworks Local Network?
While there is a cost of £40 per church/group for becoming part of a Faithworks Local Network, Faithworks offers the following support to local networks:

  • A customised logo along with permission to use the name of Faithworks for your brand (e.g. Faithworks Poole).
  • Discounts on bulk orders of Faithworks books and resources for churches or individuals that are part your local network.
  • Opportunities for hosting regional Faithworks training events in order to equip network members at discounted rates.
  • A dedicated web page at www.faithworks.info to publish membership contact details and information about the work of your local network.

In addition, Faithworks Local Networks will also benefit from improved access to funding and increased possibilities of representation within local authority structures.

How do I form a Faithworks Local Network?
If you have a group of individuals or churches that may be interested in forming a Faithworks Local Network, please contact Virginia Luckett, Faithworks Development Manager, to discuss the various way that this network could take shape.

Virginia can be contacted on 020 7921 4282 or by email on virginia.luckett@faithworks.info
