This training programme is divided into four modules, each of which can be delivered in your local area on request.  Faithworks can deliver these training modules as one or half-day workshops in your local area. 

Training provides an ideal opportunity for local churches to come together for the purpose of serving the community. We ask that host churches aim for a minimum of 10 people to attend any training seminar, in order make these events financially viable for Faithworks.

The four modules are as follows (click on the title for more information):

1. Getting started
Helping you move from ideas to action, identifying the needs of your community and the resources available to make your project/community work effective.

2. Being distinctly Christian
Discover how to understand and articulate your distinctive Christian identity and how this affects the working practices of your project.

3. Grant writing & business planning
Find out how to access funds for your project and develop realistic budgets and business plans.

4. Working in partnership
Learn how to build effective working relationships with other churches, service providers and your local council.

If you are interested in hosting a training event, Faithworks will charge a small amount for each attendee:
·       £30 per person (waged)
·       £25 per person (unwaged)
·       If a church or project is a Faithworks Affiliate, each attendee from the church is entitled to a £5 discount.

If you are concerned that your event will not attract 10+ attendees, please contact Faithworks to discuss how best we can accommodate you.  Please note that the charges of £20-£30 per person do not cover venue hire or refreshments. These aspects are the responsibility of the host. For your information, we have found that delegates are more than happy to bring their own lunch.
